Oakhurst Arboriculture was founded by Alex Esslemont, whose journey into tree care began after an early career in the City of London. Educated in Oxfordshire and a graduate of Economics and Law, Alex chose to step away from city life and follow a path more rooted in the outdoors.

He began his arboricultural career with a prestigious tree company in Oxfordshire and soon retrained at Merrist Wood College, one of the UK’s leading arboriculture institutions. From there, Alex gained a wealth of hands-on experience working with highly respected tree firms across the UK, Sweden, and Germany.

Today, Oakhurst Arboriculture delivers expert tree surgery and consultancy services throughout the UK — with a strong focus on Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Berkshire. We work with private homeowners, estates, commercial clients, and as a trusted subcontractor for other professional tree service providers.
